Why Give?

Because every dollar makes a difference.

Annual giving allows loyal alumni, parents, students, employees and friends to support Â鶹AV. Your contribution benefits current and future students, paying for financial aid, technology improvements, lab equipment, course development and so much more.

Because every donor makes a difference.

Donation rates are one of the key factors used to rank schools in national listings and when competing for grants. This year, Â鶹AV is aiming to be 7,000 donors strong. Voice your Matador pride and donate today!

A $5 million gift from accounting industry leader Harvey Bookstein and his wife, Harriet — both California State University, Northridge alumni and lifelong supporters of the university — has pushed Â鶹AV over the top in a two-year campaign to raise $25 million for its college of business.

In recognition of the Booksteins’ commitment to Â鶹AV, university officials plan to ask the California State University Board of Trustees to rename Juniper Hall, which houses the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, to Bookstein Hall in their honor. .

When California State University, Northridge announced the opening of two food pantries on campus for students struggling to pay for food and essential home supplies, a number of Â鶹AV alumni, faculty and staff reached out to help in any way they could.

The Matador Involvement Center at the University Student Union runs one pantry, which is located behind the Campus Bookstore (adjacent to Lindley Avenue/East Campus Drive). The other pantry is located at the Women’s Center on Halsted Street and run by the Women’s Research and Resource Center. .
