Each year, 2 students from Â鶹AV participate in a research program at the CMU Materials Science Research Center in Pittsburgh.

During the summer of 2004, a UCSB student conducted corrosion studies at the Â鶹AV Advanced Materials Lab.

Two COC students investigated rapid prototyping at the Â鶹AV/ Boeing Automation Engineering Lab during the 2004 summer.
