Drestine Leogo
Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology
Transferred from: College of the Canyons
Hi there, I’m Drestine! I am a Filipino American, first-year graduate student studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist! My current interests in the field include bilingualism, fluency and early intervention, but I’m excited to explore more during my program. I am an Orange Lab research assistant, Chair of Advertisement and Graphic Design for Â鶹AV NSSLHA (National Student Speech, Language, Hearing Association), and one of the Social Media Influencers for the College of Health and Human Development. Badge has influenced my personal, academic, and professional growth, and I can’t wait to keep helping transfer students this year-can’t wait to meet you all! (P.S I like concerts, desserts and books!)

Ghana Gordon Coons
Masters in Kinesiology specializing in Physical Education
Transferred from:Â Antelope Valley Community College
Hi, my name is Ghana Gordon Coons, I am a Kinesiology major specializing in Physical Education. After completing my bachelor’s degree and earning my teaching credentials, I aspire to work in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am a Badge Project Senior Mentor and President of the Transfer Student Alliance Club. In my free time, I enjoy cooking international cuisines, with a particular focus on Asian, Italian, and African dishes. I also love listening to audiobooks or listening to classical music during my commute. A fun fact about me is that, as a kid, I taught myself how to use chopsticks and used chopsticks for a whole year instead of using western utensils. My favorite mantra is “When I was a Child I looked like my parents; but now that I am older, I look like my choices.â€
Office Hours: Fridays, 11am - 12:15pm
